Full Moon Hike: High Knob Observation Tower

Join us for an astronomy presentation and full moon viewing at the High Knob Observation Tower with Lucian Undreiu, associate professor of physics at UVa-Wise. An optional three-mile hike will be held before the presentation. The hike starts at 5:30 p.m. and will involve a trek from the observation tower parking lot to the High Knob Recreation Area lake and return. All participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Participants should also bring a headlamp/flashlight. Astronomy presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. Event is weather-dependent. Group Size: Hike limited to 10 people. Astronomy presentation limited to 20 people. Pre-Registration required.
