As mayor of the City of Norton, I'd like to welcome you and present to you the key to Norton's website. We stand committed to improving our citizens' and visitors' access to our community by using tools such as the internet.
Established as a town in 1894, and later as a city in 1954, Norton is a community proud of its heritage. Centrally located at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Highway 58 A, the city has for many years served the region as a commercial hub to parts of Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.
I encourage you to take a virtual tour of our city, and I'm sure that you will want to take advantage of the many opportunities that our community offers. Norton has the uniqueness of being the smallest city in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
